We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Marketing Specialist role. The Marketing Specialist will help support the development and delivery of innovative external communications strategies that build and reinforce Flexcon's brand and reputation, position the firm as a leader in the marketplace, ensure consistent messaging, and position Flexcon as a trusted partner in the industry and community. We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Marketing Specialist role. The Marketing Specialist will help support the development and delivery of innovative external communications strategies that build and reinforce Flexcon's brand and reputation, position the firm as a leader in the marketplace, ensure consistent messaging, and position Flexcon as a trusted partner in the industry and community. What will you do in this role?
- Marketing project execution: including product collateral, messaging, product launch and communication content based on Product Management value proposition, market, competitive, and customer VOC positioning.
- Customer product communication: content development, planning and coordination with product managers, commercial teams and supporting service departments to maintain strong customer communication on all matters of product change, improvement, etc.
- Maintain vendor relationships to ensure that they are cost-effective and deliver quality output.
- PR: Public Relations planning and coordination. Drafting & distributing press releases, scheduling media interviews, prepping support materials for interviews & events.
- Support & maintain publication lists for 8 markets & corporate focus.
- Experience working with marketing materials in the US, Europe & Asia a plus.
- Partner with Product Managers to draft & communicate internal & external product launch communications. This includes the creation of sales tools for different audiences: brochures, sell sheets, data sheets.
- Collaborate with Quality and Product Management to draft operational communications to customers. Includes working with Marketing Automation Specialist to distribute & track.
- Explore and support advertising opportunities in publications that we collaborate with/contribute to.
- Writing experience: able to write market copy, strategic news releases and pitches for distribution to media sources (i.e. press releases, key messages, etc.).
- Partner cross-functionally within the broader Marketing team to ensure alignment across all teams.
- Collaborate with web team and HR to generate appropriate social & web content. This includes optimizing existing content for SEO.
- Develop innovative approaches to distribute content and promote the company
- Event Coordination: fully execute logistics and organize program elements including, but not limited to: venues/locations, transportation, dcor, lighting, staffing, tours, audio visual, accommodations, entertainment and speakers/presenters.
- Trade Show: Champion event planning with our internal team and external vendors. This includes: show services, securing booth space, booth design, pre-show meetings, lead plan & follow-up.
- Financially coordinate programs including generating purchase requisitions, review invoices and billings for payment and accuracy, as well as organizing payment through accounting.
- Track and report on effectiveness of activities: Events, PR, editorial opportunities, advertisements.
- Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.
What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Communications professional with 3+ years of relevant experience
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing Communications
- Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups (technical subject matter specialists, HR, Leadership Team), with the ability to present complex information in easily understandable format and tailored to audience.
- Experience managing multiple marketing projects concurrently, improving Marketing processes, developing marketing collateral, customer communications, product data sheets, sales training documentation, etc. with internal and/or external development resources.
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ancillary programs.
- Proficiency in Adobe programs.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Awareness of e-mail automation software & website analytic tools.
