The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most creative department in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective.
Within GABM sits the Global Brand Content & Media team who is responsible for building inspiring brand creative and assets to drive consideration for target audiences, effective placement through strategic media planning and buying and leveraging cultural marketing and brand platforms to support enterprise priorities.
We are looking for a collaborative and influential leader to support our Global Media Partnerships . Reporting to the Director, Global Media, this NY-based role will coordinate and execute media partnerships to build lasting brand relationships. This role will partner with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and media partners to advance our partnerships strategy and operations, including opportunity evaluation, project management, campaign execution, and measurement.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of executing premium partnerships and creating mutually beneficial relationships that enhance experiences for consumers and drive business results. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing through ambiguity and complexity, with a strong ability to think on their feet, act entrepreneurially, and collaborate effectively with a broad network of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

Maximize impact of media partnerships in alignment with brand vision and goals, including partner opportunity evaluation and partnerships strategic approach

Enable the operations and end-to-end execution of all media partnership components including brand placements and integrations, custom content, media sponsorships, talent strategy, experiential activations, and co-marketing opportunities

Support the management and execution of partnership agreements and contract negotiations, ensuring beneficial terms and that all deliverables are met

Partner closely with media, content, social, sponsorship, analytics, and business unit teams to develop innovative and engaging partnerships in-line with enterprise objectives

Monitor and evaluate the performance of media partnerships and brand integrations, providing performance updates to cross-functional partners and leadership

Establish and nurture relationships with strategic media, production, and agency partners

Author and present partnership updates, partner POVs, and strategic guidelines to senior leadership and business unit partners to successfully influence strategy

Management of agency teams and media partners to ensure timely delivery of strategies and plans against business objectives and efficiency and effectiveness of inter-agency processes

Incorporate an external perspective by maintaining a pulse on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the branded content space
Minimum Qualifications

7 years work experience in Brand Partnerships, Branded Content, or Entertainment Marketing

Experience working with or managing agencies and media partners required
-
Strong partner management skills with proven ability to influence and negotiate
-
Excellent relationship management skills with proven ability to build and strengthen relationships at all levels
-
Comfort managing complex, high-stakes projects with tight timelines and a large stakeholder network
-
Excellent project/process management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
-
Skilled at clearly and persuasively articulating ideas, with a proficiency in creating advanced level presentations for a broad range of audiences
-
Proficiency in MS Office to create and communicate impactful data-driven brand strategies
-
Able to work autonomously and lead collaboratively with a strong ability to bring others along

Bachelor’s degree required
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
