Job Description
The University Library at Nevada State University is seeking applications for part-time librarian positions. Reporting to the Dean of the Library, the successful candidates will join a dynamic team with a nationally recognized culture of excellent service and dedication to student success. Part-time librarians are responsible for providing evening and weekend supervision of research and circulation services for the Marydean Martin Library.

Work Hours
Work hours for this role are aligned with the spring (January-May) and fall (August-December) semesters. Assigned hours for these positions will be between 4 - 19.5 hours per week, depending on library needs and candidate availability.
All shifts will be in-person at the Nevada State campus in Henderson.
We are seeking candidates that can work any of the following shifts:
Monday: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Tuesday: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Wednesday: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Thursday: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Hourly Rate
$27.50 per hour.

- Provide evening and/or weekend supervision for the Marydean Martin Library's single service point.
- Provide research, technology, and circulation services to students, instructors, and other library users in-person, via telephone, and via chat.
- Complete other duties as assigned, based on library need and candidate experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- ALA-accredited master's degree or equivalent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to conduct a reference interview and teach students to identify, access, evaluate, and use appropriate information resources.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
