Job Description and Requirements The RBFCU Marketing Department is seeking a Marketing & Corporate Communications Events Coordinator with proven experience in event coordination and management. In this position, this individual will plan and execute all external and internal events for lead generation, educational and retention purposes. Events may include seminars, webinars, corporate sponsorships, staff trainings and charitable events. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Identify event opportunities, to include sponsorships, charitable events, financial literacy, and trade shows. Plan and coordinate internal employee functions, in both a virtual and in-person environment to include symposiums, conferences, programs, receptions, and executive meetings and briefings. Leverage core-knowledge of virtual event platforms to provide strategic consultation to business-units in producing virtual and hybrid events. Evaluate the impact of participating in each event before RBFCU commitment. Develop event action plans for each event from conception to completion, to include target audience, goals, objectives, and results. Collaborating proactively with all business unit leaders and diverse staff members to regularly to review event action plans, responsibilities and needs. Support the credit union with the promotional needs for each event, as well as general business. Manage vendor relationships (i.e. - connect, negotiate, contract). Support the Marketing, Business Development and Financial Literacy teams for event requests as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Minimum of three years previous job related work experience Less than one year previous job related management experience Flexible schedule - some long days, weekends and travel will be required Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful in-person and virtual event Must have project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks Advanced communication skills - both written and oral; detail-oriented Ability to foster and maintain relationships with multiple business units within the organization Skilled in the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders Ability to lead to meet and exceed results Energetic and skilled in project/task management with a strong attention to detail Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively negotiate, assess risks, and lead each team throughout the event planning and execution process Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Strong ability to manage time, budget, and vendor relationships Knowledge of Microsoft applications, Adobe software, Google applications and social media Valid Driver's License All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.
