Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT/AV support or a related field.
Hands-on experience with live events and high-priority, VIP meetings.
Proven expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving complex AV and IT systems.
Strong ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, while staying
accountable for results.
Technical proficiency in AV and IT systems, including hardware, software, and
networking.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to track and document work effectively.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and
relationship management.
Adaptable and flexible, able to respond effectively to technology failures and changing
conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities Deliver expert technical support for IT/AV systems within the organization, ensuring seamless operations across meetings and events. Maintain, troubleshoot, and manage the life cycle of AV systems to guarantee reliability and performance. Provide high-touch, white-glove support for VIPs, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and discretion. Learn and deploy new hardware and software as the organization adopts new AV technology. Track team tickets in a centralized system, ensuring thorough documentation, timely completion, and proactive follow-ups. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with on-campus AV equipment, including networked devices. Serve as a primary point of contact for end-user questions and guidance on IT/AV systems and workflows. Develop, maintain, and update IT/AV documentation, delegating tasks when appropriate. Provide training to team members and end users on AV technology and best practices.
Desired Qualifications Demonstrated experience managing IT/AV projects, from planning to execution. Knowledge of digital signage solutions and their integration with AV systems. Networking/IP knowledge, including troubleshooting networked AV systems. Proficiency in tools and platforms such as: Crestron systems and XiO Cloud, Extron, Shure, Biamp, QSC, Zoom/Zoom Rooms, NEAT devices. Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems. Industry certifications like CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I are a strong plus but not required.
Working Conditions Office-based position, with occasional event-based adjustments to working hours. Physical ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs. Full-time, on-site role with standard working hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for early or late shifts as needed.
