Social Media Strategist

Our client is seeking a Social Media Strategist to join their team in LA, Austin or Seattle. This is a hybrid opportunity and will report onsite 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing social channel strategies driven by purpose and impact
  • Partner with global social media team members to implement holistic vision for social media's role in amplifying brand and messaging aligned to business goals
  • Create strategic social briefs with content lead to deliver clear guidelines for campaign and communication priorities for brand marketing, partnerships, and creative teams
  • Deliver day-to-day implementation of the social media strategy and BAU content across platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X, etc.) to build stronger social communities
  • Supervise content calendars, publishing, and community management
  • Monitor brand reputation and work closely with crisis communication response team and customer service teams
  • Advocate brand visual identity and tone of social to create consistency across social for brand globally
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest on pop-culture, social media trends, and identify opportunities to leverage new platforms and features
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and social media listening to make data-informed recommendations
  • Provide council to paid boosting social campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on key results
  • Track social media budget spending, ensure budgeted resources match priorities and resources effectively
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with partners to deliver on shared goals

Must-haves:

  • One-team, "we" language that is driven by positive intent and collaboration
  • Stay's up-to-date on pop-culture, social media trend, and platform features to recommend opportunities proactively
  • Curiosity or willingness to try and test new tactics
  • In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms and best practices, including paid boosting advertising strategies, and campaign and community management
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, while also collaborating effectively with teams across different regions
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex plans

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $34 to $36 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
