Opportunity
We are seeking a master storyteller with a natural flair for writing to join our team as the Content Strategy & Social Media Manager. This role goes beyond social media management; it requires a deep understanding of traditional storytelling processes and a creative eye for transforming those stories into compelling digital content. You'll work closely with the internal marketing team and collaborate with an internal and external roster of videographers and photographers to express these plans though engaging content.
The successful candidate for this role will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and be an inspiring team member capable of building relationships across business units and enterprise functions. The role requires strong communication and execution skills. This candidate must creative and idea oriented, while remaining data driven, fact based, and goal oriented with clear understanding of success metrics. This person must be able to network easily with various groups of people, and act as a steward of the Kohler brand.
Specific Responsibilities

Develop and execute a storytelling strategy across owned digital and social media platforms that aligns with our key brand pillars and business objectives. This includes:

Create compelling narratives that captivate our audience across travel, lifestyle, F&B, golf, art, design and other leisure interests.

Relentlessly and creatively seek new ways of bringing to life experiences within Kohler destinations.

Collaborating with PR to amplify content from media coverage, brand partnerships and influencers, building long-term brand advocacy.

Partner with Go-to-Market teams to highlight key business driving initiatives in a compelling and audience-first way.

Manage and deliver a monthly content calendar that reflects our broader marketing strategies; generating standalone social campaign ideas and support the amplification of integrated marketing campaigns.

Own “nimble shoot” calendar and execution, ensuring new, fresh content for social media channels.

Oversee community management across all platforms for Kohler, Wisconsin; Kohler Waters Spa; Kohler Local; Golf Kohler, Lodge Kohler, Kohler Chocolates.

Create an implement social media guidelines for business-owned social accounts (Yoga on the Lake; Bold Cycle; Sports Core; Foundry Cat; Riverbend).

Exploring and testing new channels and content formats to engage new audiences and new places where current audiences may be.

Prioritized channels include Pinterest, TikTok, and X.

As the subject-matter-expert in social media, act as a passionate teacher to educate and inform business partners on strategy

Performing competitor analysis and tracking brand sentiment to inform business insights and strategies

Expertly using social media management software (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Canva, Later) for scheduling and high-quality content creation

Other projects as assigned.
Skills/Requirements

Four-year degree required. Emphasis in New Media, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, Business or English preferred.

Passionate about the Hospitality industry, this role requires 5+ years of experience in social media, preferably for luxury hotel properties.

Possess a mindset of curiosity, and continuous learning, while seeking out new ideas and platforms in an ever-changing social media landscape.

Must be highly motivated, have a positive demeanor, be a team player, proactive self-starter, and excellent communicator.

Ability to deliver high quality work, quickly, in a dynamic organization under time pressure.

Must possess strong writing skills

Experience with Social Media platforms such as Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Hootsuite or Salesforce.

Knowledge of Meta’s advertising platform is required.

Detail-oriented and possess excellent project management skills.

The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $119,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
