Job Title: Content Marketing SpecialistDepartment: SEU CreativeJob Summary:We are seeking a talented and customer-obsessed conversion copywriter to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving customer conversions across various digital platforms by creating targeted, relevant, and engaging content. This role focuses on creating content tailored for various audiences for a private Christian university, including incoming college students and their parents, as well as graduate-level, online, and partner site students. You will work closely with the Manager of Content Strategy, a team of student writers, and the rest of the SEU Creative team to promote the university's brand. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, strong editorial and grammatical skills, and a willingness to remain on the cutting-edge of the latest digital strategies in order to remain relevant to our audiences.Essential Duties - Core responsibilities:•Content Creation: Develop high-quality, persuasive copy for landing pages, email campaigns, social media captions, web pages, and other marketing materials, specifically targeting incoming college students and their parents, as well as additional audiences as assigned. •Audience Understanding: Conduct thorough research to understand the unique needs, motivations, and concerns of our audiences, ensuring content is relevant and compelling.•Conversion Optimization: Write and optimize copy that encourages desired actions, such as clicks, sign-ups, applications, and enrollments.•Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, designers, and enrollment staff to ensure copy aligns with overall brand messaging and campaign goals.•A/B Testing: Participate in the creation and execution of A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of different copy variations and continuously improve conversion rates.•SEO Integration: Implement SEO best practices in all content to enhance organic search visibility and drive traffic.•Performance Analysis: Track and analyze content performance metrics to inform and refine future content strategies.•Market Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital marketing, copywriting, and customer engagement to keep our content fresh and competitive.Required Education: A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, creative writing, or related field; Alternate credential:a bachelor's degree with equivalent work experience in the field be substituted.Preferred Education:A Master's degree in:•Marketing•Search Engine Optimization•Social mediaExperience Required - length of service and type of experience:•Used to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; flexibility and adaptability to the changes/shifting priorities inherent to a marketing department•Knowledge of brand development & maintenance•Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.•Proficiency in crafting copy for various digital platforms, including web, email, and social media.•Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and practices.•Ability to conduct audience research and translate insights into compelling content.•Experience with A/B testing and using data to inform content decisions.•Knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to implement them in copy.•Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.•Excellent organization, collaboration, and communication skills.Experience Preferred - length of service and type of experience:•Experience in higher education marketing.•More than 5 years of experience••Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite•Familiarity with website maintenance/WordPress•Understanding of the unique context and values of a Christian university.Location: Lakeland Downtown CampusKnowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required:•Self-starter with excellent work ethic and attention to detail•Ability to work with a team to complete time-sensitive projects•Initiative to solve problems and present ideas•Ability to work under minimal supervision•Strong communication and collaborative skills•Strong customer service skills•Strong time management skills•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines•Analytical skills for assessing project performance and implementing improvementsRequired Travel: NoSchedule - Days/Hours expected, regularly and seasonally:Regularly Monday to Friday, 9-5pm with occasional evenings and weekends based on project deadlines and events.Benefits:•Competitive salary•Health, dental, and vision insurance•Retirement plan with company match•Paid time off and holidays•Professional development opportunities•Collaborative and innovative work environment•Tuition benefits
