Position Summary
PGLS, a leader in language solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Proposal Writer to join our Proposal Operations and Capture team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to create compelling, precise, and strategically focused proposal content tailored to both commercial and government Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). You will collaborate closely with leadership and technical experts across departments to distill complex information into persuasive narratives, directly contributing to our efforts to secure new business within federal, state, and commercial sectors. Your work will directly impact our ability to win new business and strengthen client relationships.
Job Responsibilities
(All of the below functions are essential for this position)
- Lead the creation of compelling proposal narratives that clearly communicate our solutions, service offerings, value propositions, and competitive strengths. This includes drafting executive summaries, solution descriptions, technical content, and value propositions that adhere to solicitation guidelines.
- Conduct in-depth research, interviews, and reviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop compliant, customer-focused proposal content that aligns with win themes and organizational strategies.
- Facilitate proposal content reviews to ensure technical accuracy, compliance with solicitation requirements, and alignment with win themes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Operations, to obtain key inputs, maintain consistency, and ensure high-quality content.
- Lead technical writing, editing, and rewriting efforts to refine and tailor responses from a variety of stakeholders, ensuring clarity and impact.
- Conduct targeted market research to enhance the competitive positioning of each proposal, adapting content as needed to address specific customer needs.
- Maintain a repository of high-quality proposal content, templates, graphics, and reference materials, continuously updating the content library to improve efficiency and quality of future proposal responses.
- Deliver high-quality proposal drafts, including technical and executive summaries, on time to support the proposal lifecycle.
- A deep understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex information into clear and concise language.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Proposal Writer or Technical Writer in the federal contracting space, with proven expertise in developing technical proposals for government clients.
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities, with a track record of producing clear, concise, and compelling content for complex technical proposals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with RFPIO, Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams).
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with language services or prior experience in a related industry is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex information into clear and concise language.
