JOB TITLE:
Library Technical Assistant - Studio Coe, University Libraries
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
Studio Coe offers students, staff, faculty, and the public access to audio-visual, virtual reality (VR), and introductory coding hardware and software, and workshop instruction on such technologies. Studio Coe also supports a podcasting studio and a video recording studio equipped with a greenscreen.

Coe Library, Room 237 (Studio Coe)
Pay rate or range:
$12.70 per hour
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist patrons with hardware and software, provide support for the Studio Coe computer lab, audio recording studio, and video recording space.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Experience: Must have an interest in graphic design, audio/visual production, virtual reality, and/or computer coding (experience not required).
Other requirements: Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS:
Soft skills, such as customer service, teamwork, and communication applicable to all majors. Hard skills in Adobe software operation; audio/video recording and editing; audio/video equipment management, troubleshooting, and upkeep; virtual reality operation and support; fine-art printing; and 3D-modeling and animation.

- Perform clerical duties such as attending to the Studio Coe Help Desk, monitoring the Studio Coe email, answering phone calls, booking the podcasting and video recording spaces in the libraries' room management system upon request.
- Assist patrons with all Studio Coe software and hardware, including podcasting equipment, video equipment, and VR systems.
- Support and team-teach workshops pertaining to hardware/software in Studio Coe.
- Complete audio, video, graphic design, and other projects as directed.
- Assist in outreach events and raise awareness of Studio Coe's Services on Campus.
- Develop audio, video, graphic design, and other technology skills to better assist patrons.
- Create examples, tutorials, and workshops for various software available in Studio Coe during shifts.
- Contribute to cleanliness of Studio Coe and Studio Coe Supported spaces.
- Open and close lab.
