The Social Media Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the Xeris Biopharmas day-to-day social media presence for the Xeris corporate and commercial product portfolio to include content creation, content scheduling, monitoring, moderating, and analysis of outcomes. This position contributes to the development and implementation of unified social media strategies across the organization with a focus on follower growth and user engagement aligned to the brands and the Companys strategic goals. This position will collaborate across teams to support organizational strategies and serve as the subject matter expert in the social media space.
Responsibilities:
Create, implement, and manage a social media strategy for Xeris Biopharma and its commercial product portfolio including content development, scheduling, community management, monitoring, moderating and enhancing engagement on social channels to ensure social media content reflects Xeris portfolio of brands voices and aligns with marketing strategy.
Maintain inventory/audit of social media presence and performance and lead regular assessment and optimization of larger marketing efforts and campaigns.
Develop and manage content calendars and assets for social media in conjunction with the companys larger overall integrated content planning and marketing efforts.
Analyze data and insights to ideate and produce fresh, creative marketing content to maximize customer engagement on various social media platforms in line with each individual commercial product brand strategy.
Stay ahead of social platform and content trends and the competitive landscape to inform brand marketing strategy, tactical planning and the testing roadmap.
Develop and implement a social media testing & optimization roadmap, inclusive of emerging social media platforms in strong collaboration with brand and performance marketing teams.
Leverage AI, data analytics, and social listening tools to curate reports, drive the social media strategy and assist the larger matrixed marketing team.
Implement tactics to drive engagement and user generated content, increase awareness, grow influencer program, drive product site traffic and inquiries.
Participate in and lead creative strategy and tactical meetings, bringing a strategic and thoughtful perspective to the target audience; manage and oversee cross-departmental projects from inception through finished product, including rounds of approval.
Responsible for editing and maintaining current external and internal content under high pressure deadlines and with a high caliber of quality while maintaining strong adherence to brand guidelines.
Prepare reports and presentations on the latest social media marketing activities and opportunities for a wide range of stakeholders to include senior leaders, executive management team, and internal marketing team members.
Prepare trend reports summarizing key changes in the spaces of social media marketing platforms and their respective trends, highlighting any adjustments or recommendations to our approach.
Work aggressively to cross-promote and maximize engagement with key audiences, analyzing outcomes to inform digital marketing strategy and related brand projects.
Serve as the content and brand subject matter expert to aid cross-functional team members in helping to drive messaging that will resonate with target audience based on social media performance analysis.
Facilitate effective collaboration with Regulatory, Legal, Medical and CMC to ensure product and marketing tools are deployed according to policy.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required
2-4 years of social media management experience required; at least one prior related role in a regulated industry (pharmaceuticals, healthcare, finance, or education preferred)
Must be expert level on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and X, and their posting parameters
Proven experience utilizing Canva, Trello, InDesign, Adobe Spark and Illustrator or other related tools for content creation
Proven experience with social media management software such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite
Hands-on experience in managing workflows through legal and regulatory promotional review process and understanding of FDA regulations and guidance regarding advertising and promotion of prescription drug products
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Thrives in ambiguity and can adapt quickly in any situation and asks questions to increase depth of understanding
Familiarity with market research, KPIs, and CRM systems like Veeva

Working Conditions
Position may require periodic evening and weekend work, as necessary to fulfill obligations.
Overnight travel up to 25%.
This is a hybrid role based in Xeris Chicago office and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office. On-site requirement may change at managements discretion.
