Summary

As the Community Relations Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to develop relationships and partnerships, coordinate educational programs that enhance support for organ and tissue donation, increase donor registration, and advance the life-saving mission and vision of the LifeLink Foundation. You will establish positive interpersonal and community relationships, seek outreach opportunities; facilitate, implement, and evaluate activities, events, and initiatives for defined target audiences, and participate in team, departmental, and organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Employ creativity and sound logic to develop public education programs and initiatives to enhance support of organ and tissue donation and increase donor registration, as well as promote a positive image and reputation for LifeLink Foundation and its divisions within the community.
  • Seek out, coordinate, and participate in activities, such as presentations, health and community fairs, networking opportunities, and other events on behalf of LifeLink.
  • Conceive and plan public education and mission-focused events to enhance support of organ and tissue donation and increase donor registration.
  • Establish community relationships and partnerships to result in public education opportunities and engage and communicate with community partners through approved social media, or other communication avenues.
  • Serve as a delegate of LifeLink within community-based organizations and chambers to develop strategic partnerships to result in public education opportunities, support for organ and tissue donation, and increased organ and tissue donor registrations.
  • Track, evaluate, and continuously seek to improve results and efficacy of public education and other mission-focused activities, increase donor registrations, and heighten the profile of LifeLink in the community.
  • Support recruitment, training, and deployment of volunteers to participate in public education initiatives.
  • Contribute to development of public education materials and messaging.
  • Participate in other initiatives and duties with a team-oriented spirit in support of our over-arching lifesaving goal.


Job Specifications

  • Knowledge typically acquired through the completion of a four-year college program, such as public relations and/or marketing, or can demonstrate similar competencies from other course of studies.
  • A creative mindset and can-do attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship development, and communication skills to comfortably interact with diverse internal and external audience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage details and deadlines of multiple initiatives or activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment, maintaining an open line of communication with supervisor.
  • Confident presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of software and applications commonly used in business, such as Microsoft Office, as well as those used in public relations or community engagement, such as Canva and various social media platforms.
  • Must have a personal, reliable vehicle with good driving record and current state/commonwealth license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
  • Must be fully bilingual - written and verbal English/Spanish
