Responsibilities:- Develop and execute an engaging visual arts curriculum tailored to students with diverse skill levels at Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center in Baltimore, MD.
- Aim: Cultivate creativity and foster artistic expression in young individuals through innovative art programs.
- Offer constructive feedback and personalized guidance to students to enhance their artistic abilities and skills effectively.
- Goal: Support students' growth and development in their artistic journey by providing valuable mentorship.
- Collaborate closely with fellow instructors to organize interdisciplinary projects and events that enrich students' arts education experience.
- Purpose: Offer a comprehensive and well-rounded artistic learning environment for students.
- Plan and manage art exhibitions to showcase students' work within the local community, celebrating their artistic achievements.
- Objective: Recognize and honor the artistic accomplishments of students in a public setting.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in the visual arts field to enhance teaching methodologies and provide cutting-edge knowledge to students.
- Objective: Equip students with up-to-date skills and insights in the ever-evolving arts landscape.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching visual arts to young students is required.
- Proficient in a variety of art mediums including painting, drawing, and sculpture is essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students effectively are necessary.
- Capable of creating and implementing an art curriculum that promotes both creativity and skill enhancement.
- Familiarity with principles of youth development and the ability to cultivate a positive learning atmosphere are important.

Since its inception in 2004, LTYC has continuously expanded its programming, geographic outreach, and calendar, expanding stronger relationships among schools, students, families, and the community.
LTYC has been able to impact the lives of more than 160,000 students, ranging from grades K-12. Many of our students come from schools in Baltimore City and surrounding areas that are in dire need of arts education and behavioral intervention. Our arts education instruction includes dance, theater, music, visual arts, media arts, creative writing, STEAM, culinary arts, Yoga, martial arts, and gardening.
