What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Oversee $1.5 - 2M in account revenue as the senior strategic client counsel - Develop coherent strategies for clients and projects while serving as a trusted advisor - Generate business revenue by expanding the scope of work for existing clients - Mentor and manage staff, conducting performance reviews and setting development goals - Represent the employer and key clients at industry events to build networking contacts
What is Required (Qualifications): - Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field - Minimum 15 years of experience in communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role - Proven ability to build relationships with top-tier reporters and editors for impactful media placements - Extensive writing and editing experience in various print and online communications media - Demonstrated leadership in managing comprehensive strategic communications and media relations programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Experience with social media influencer engagement and content campaigns - Innovative thinker with a track record of translating strategic thinking into actionable plans - Experience in setting up measurement programs for ongoing ROI evaluation of communications activities - Proven ability to make decisions in dynamic environments and anticipate future needs - Experience in coaching and mentoring a team of communications specialists
