Our client, a well-known fashion brand, is seeking a
Technical Design & Patternmaking Assistant
to join their team on a temporary basis, part-time. The role focuses on quality assurance tasks. This role is ideal for a fashion student who is available on a part-time basis, (~15-20 hours/ week)
Duties: Complete weekly measurement audits for styles that have high return rates or call outs from merchants. Complete stock reduction for styles that needs to be measured. Pull specs in PLM for each style. Create Excel Measurement Sheet for each style. Measure each garment on each specified points audits. Pull Approval and TOP samples when applicable. Enter QA Audit into VNC system once completed. Return samples back to DC’s upon audit completion. Complete summary of audit in email for QA Team.
Qualifications: Fashion student or recent graduate (FIT, Parsons, LIM) Must be able to commute on site to lower Manhattan 2-3 days per week. Prior experience in production, quality assurance, or product development preferred. Experience with PLM Ability to work in a fast pace environment. Ability to work independently. Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
