Job Description:
This position reports to the Unemployment Insurance Division located in one of the five Hubs across the state. Incumbent serves as a dedicated customer service representative responsible for handling inbound calls in English and Spanish regarding Unemployment Insurance (UI) inquiries from Claimants, Employers, and other Stakeholders. Responsibilities include providing general information and guidance in line with the operational procedures and guidelines of the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW), to include escalation when appropriate.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree and relevant training and experience; OR any equivalent combination of education, relevant training and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position. Fluent in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and related experience. Ability to navigate and toggle between multiple, interfacing computing platforms.
