Job Overview:
The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, preparing, and submitting grant proposals and applications. Grant potential includes local, state, federal, and private funding sources. The right candidate will have a passion for writing and a strong background in grant writing and research.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Research and identify public and private funding opportunities.
  • Research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals.
  • Manage the full grant application process from start to finish.
  • Monitor and track grant funding opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate across departments to secure the needed data and financial information for proposals, reports, and grant tracking.
  • Prepare routine reports to keep management apprised of current and upcoming funding efforts.
  • Manage time-sensitive submission deadlines.
The right candidate should be coachable with the attributes of a self-starter with the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations. They will be able to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities, with proven ability to work independently. They should excel in a very fast-paced environment, able to thrive under pressure, and demonstrate the highest level of professionalism. All candidates should deliver with a "No Excuses, Make It Happen" attitude.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Professional & Technical Writing, English, Communications, or related field (preferred)
  • Two years of Grant Coordination & Writing Experience (required)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizations skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage project on a timeline
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and online research


Salary Description

$25 - $27/ hr
