The role: We are looking for an Associate Media Buyer to join our Media team and help grow the in-house media capabilities for our rapidly growing brand. As the Associate Media Buyer, you will be responsible for supporting the media execution across our linear TV, audio, and some digital media buys while identifying opportunities for workflow efficiency. This role is a first line of communication with our external media vendors, but it will also be partnering closely with our creative studios, accounting/legal teams, and product marketing leads to ensure our media operations are running effectively across a variety of business lines. We are looking for someone who is results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and a creative problem solver. What you’ll do: Support our Media Buyers and Media Strategists in TV (both Linear and CTV) and Audio media buy execution and stewardship for multiple SoFi products. Build and negotiate media schedules/proposals with external vendors. Manage and report on pre/post-logs on a consistent basis. Grow and retain strong, significant relationships with networks through daily interactions via email, phone, and in-person. Assist in development of planning research and media packages that deliver product KPIs by leveraging key marketplace insights and aggressive buying optimizations. Assist in the management of creative traffic logs/instructions, network clearance, and bonus media element production. Manage individual budgets, billing and invoicing process, and establishing new vendors within internal payment system. Route media contracts for legal approval through internal systems. Retrieve order confirmations and maintain digital filing systems for contracts. Help build integrated programs across brand and acquisition to reach our target with a variety of product messaging. What you’ll need: 2+ years experience in media planning and buying in an agency environment. Experience in traditional media required and digital media a plus. Candidates should have a basic understanding of media math (ratings, HUT/PUT, CPM, CPP, etc.). Strong verbal, written communication skills, including demonstrated track record in managing projects. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Desire to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Proficient with Google and Microsoft product suites (Google Sheets, Excel, Powerpoint/Slides, and Docs). Working knowledge of MediaOcean or equivalent media buying software (preferred but not required). Knowledge of financial services / personal finance a plus. Passionate and naturally curious about the TV landscape and holistic media industry trends. Compensation and Benefits: The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
