In Pursuit Of is looking for a digital content specialist with a passion for high-impact storytelling and the ability to communicate the principles of a free and open society to key audiences. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer, with good editorial judgement, and the ability to identify opportunities to tell our clients’ stories and produce multiple pieces of compelling content on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Write factual, persuasive, creative and timely content that motivates and inspires our clients’ target audiences
• Identify opportunities for new and engaging content and pitch ideas
• Conduct research on a variety of issues
• Conduct interviews as necessary
• Understand client tone and voice, and ensure consistency across all written products
• Collaborate with policy team and the larger communications team to advance an integrated strategy
• Stay current and updated on daily news cycle stories
• Edit and review content produced by other members of the communications and policy teams
• Coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders
• Manage the review and approval process
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-3 years of demonstrated experience working for a website, publication, news organization, or communications and marketing or creative agency
• Strong news judgement and a passion for writing
• A solid understanding of and commitment to classical liberal ideals, free market principles, and the advancement of liberty
• An understanding of public policy issues particularly health care, government spending, free speech, and corporate welfare
• A strong sense of initiative combined with ability to collaborate
• An ability to:
- analyze complex policy topics and communicate them to a wide range of audiences
- align projects to the vision of the organization
- thrive in a fast-paced, deadline- and detail-oriented environment
- adjust easily to competing and ever-changing priorities
- effectively manage time and prioritize multiple stories and projects
- produce high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
- adapt to constantly changing news cycles and dynamic communications strategies
- proofread and edit according to AP style, and
- drive projects to successful completion
