Job Description:
As Sr. Manager of Digital Content and Social Media, you will drive innovation and industry leadership across our social channels, leading a team and building a holistic, integrated strategy to achieve key business objectives. In this highly visible and cross-functional role, you will leverage data to optimize performance and explore new ways to drive engagement, collaborating closely with the Creative Services, Influencer, Pro, PR, Marketing, and Digital teams to cement the brand's position as a leader in the space.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
- Lead the development of platform strategies, including playbooks and best practices tailored to the brands unique brand identity, as well as go-to-market launch plans for emerging platforms.
- Establish division goal setting that ladders up to business objectives and consists of: competitive benchmarking, KPI measurement framework, campaign and trend tracking, as well as creative analysis.
- Oversee content calendar and strategy to align with DTC and global retail calendars, product and brand launches, events, activations and other brand initiatives that require social media integration.
- Partner with key stakeholders to share platform best practices, standardize measurements, and drive global content strategies.
- Drive the planning and execution of our social media strategy, aligning with product launches, brand initiatives, and events.
- Develop seasonal campaign toolkits and ensure cross-functional coordination to maintain a consistent brand message.
- Ability to streamline processes and develop an efficient pipeline for asset creation in conjunction with Influencer, Pro, PR and Creative Services teams.
- Mentor, inspire and guide a talented team to come up with concepts that elevate the brand and deliver results.
Social Platform & Content Creation:
- Drive strategy, budget and execution of global marketing initiatives through content storytelling, ensuring a consistent brand message across platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and others, to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Lead ideation and innovation on social, identifying trends and cultural moments relevant to the brands audience.
- Collaborate with Creative Services, Influencer and PR teams to develop compelling content franchises tailored to each platform.
- Create community building and user generated content strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Establish a clear content and amplification strategy for Ambassador partners in partnership with PR, and collaborate on building extensions to amplify efforts across other mediums.
- Partner with Pro to establish a PGC (pro generated content) program that builds brand equity and credibility with the pro stylist community, highlighting our creative artistry and science innovation.
- Identify relevant social media trends and cultural moments that translate into unique and ownable concepts for the brand.
- Ensure content strategies are globally scalable and oversee localization strategies for regional platforms, including: distributor channels (when applicable), and international channels, i.e. WeChat, Weibo, etc.
- Monitor, measure and analyze the performance of content distribution channels to enable continuous learning, program optimization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in social media marketing and communications, with a focus on beauty or hair care brands.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience.
- Proven track record of running successful social media campaigns and fostering communities.
- Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas that resonate with the brands audience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
