The Music Circulation/Chamber Music Librarian is responsible for managing the chamber music catalogue and staffing the Bucksbaum Campus Library during operating hours. This position reports to the Head Librarian and is a member of the AMFS Performance Librarian team.

Responsibilities
- Prepare chamber music parts for artist-faculty and students.
- Manage the circulation of chamber music parts and other items in the AMFS collection as necessary in consultation with the Head Librarian.
- Continue maintenance to the AMFS collection, along with cataloguing new acquisitions.
- Assist the Performance Librarians with distributing parts to musicians from the Bucksbaum Campus Library during operating hours.
- Staff the library at the Bucksbaum Campus.
- Work closely and effectively with guest artists, faculty members, students, and staff.
- At the discretion of the Head Librarian, work with publishers to ensure music materials are ordered, complete, and fully prepared. Dependent upon experience, the Chamber Music Librarian may be assigned a small performing ensemble in which case it would be required that they prepare those parts and attend all rehearsals, readings, and concerts for the assigned ensemble(s).
- Other related duties as necessary.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year music library experience required.
- Knowledge of classical music repertoire and the ability to read music required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, while demonstrating patience, good judgement, and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of computers (Microsoft products) and information technology. Experience with ArtsVision, ResourceMate, and Adobe suite is preferred but not required. Training will be provided as necessary.
