This position is for the full academic year open only to enrolled upperclassmen. Freshmen are not eligible for this position.
Expected hours of work per week: 10-15
Work Location & Hours: KG-115; Mon- Fri; 8am-4:30pm
Purpose
To assist in the process of making library and Covenant College Archive materials available to the Covenant community.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Students will be trained and develop skills in professional office behavior as well as developing competencies with computer programs listed in the job qualifications.
Physical Demands
Sitting: Remaining in the seated position
Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) 25-50 lbs.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly

Purpose

Qualifications for Position:
- Personable, willing to learn, punctual
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating system
- Basic knowledge of Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Reader
- Able to work well independently
- Able to handle sensitive information
- Able to organize files, both manually and electronically
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Able to climb on step stools
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Assist in book processing
- Perform clerical acquisition duties
- Perform clerical interlibrary loan duties
- Deliver and retrieve mail from the mailroom
- Organize archival materials
- Digitize archival materials
- Check digitized archival materials
- Represent the College well when interacting with patrons
- Fulfill all other duties assigned by the Associate Director of Library Services.
