The Manager will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communication plans that integrate traditional and digital platforms. Responsibilities include managing internal and external customer service, staff oversight, and financial operations related to strategic planning, content creation, events marketing management, and promotional activities. The Manager ensures consistency and quality across all communication channels while aligning with institutional brand guidelines and objectives. This role also acts as a key liaison between departments and stakeholders to facilitate strategic alignment, customer satisfaction, and the achievement of departmental goals. Responsibilities Content Management and Planning Manages a content calendar to ensure timely, consistent, and effective messaging across multiple platforms. Develops and executes comprehensive marketing and communication plans using both traditional and digital platforms. Ensures distributed material is accurate, timely, and aligned with institutional brand guidelines. Writing, Editing, and Content Development Crafts short-form articles, promotional scripts, press releases, and other written communications. Coordinates content development efforts across various media to ensure alignment with project objectives. Oversees proofreading and research for content publication, ensuring relevance, accuracy, and quality. Website Management Manages website content to maintain up-to-date and engaging information across all web pages. Ensures website updates meet brand standards and project objectives, collaborating with technical teams to enhance functionality and user experience. Campaign Execution and Monitoring Plans and implements targeted marketing campaigns to build brand awareness and engagement. Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of marketing tactics, adjusting strategies to optimize outcomes. Stakeholder Communication Develops and disseminates information about departmental initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with departments and clients to conceptualize marketing projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Email Marketing Designs, schedules, and executes email marketing campaigns to support outreach and engagement goals, leveraging tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Project and Timeline Management Develops project timelines and ensures all marketing and communication efforts are executed on schedule. Brand Awareness and Promotions Coordinates promotional initiatives, including the selection and procurement of branded materials. Oversees the design, printing, and delivery of marketing collateral to enhance brand visibility at special events. Administrative and Technical Tasks Manages administrative functions, including coordination of Accounts Payable and Receivable. Performs other related technical duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Educational and Professional Requirements Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 4 -6 years of progressively responsible marketing management experience. Technical and Industry Expertise Demonstrated knowledge of research-related concepts, including technology transfer, startup activity, and tech-based economic development. Proficiency in Content Management Systems, digital marketing platforms, and CRM tools such as Salesforce. Leadership and Collaboration Skills Proven ability to lead teams, develop staff competencies, and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strategic Vision and Communication Excellence Expertise in writing, editing, and crafting impactful communication across multiple audiences and channels. Experience in developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns. Digital Proficiency Expertise in backend website management, user experience enhancement, and digital marketing campaigns. Proven ability to plan and optimize social media campaigns across multiple platforms. Administrative Acumen Experience managing budgets, operational workflows, and ensuring efficiency in administrative functions. Preferences Proficiency in platforms like Google Analytics, Later, monday, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Adobe Creative Suite. Expertise in creating and managing audience-specific content across web, social media, and email platforms (e.g., WordPress, LinkedIn, Salesforce Marketing Cloud). Skilled in SEO , SEM , and data-driven marketing to optimize campaign performance across digital and traditional channels. Strong ability to collaborate cross-functional teams and manage projects with competing deadlines. Proven experience tailoring campaigns and messaging for diverse internal and external audiences.
