More information on www.cap.utah.edu Job Summary: The Social media intern is responsible for a broad range of communications designed to inform and inspire current and prospective students, alumni, and community partners. Under the direction of CA+P’s Assistant Director of Communications, the intern will create content for social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn), creating campaigns, designing posts, covering events, and writing digital content for the College’s channels. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Design and create regular social media content in collaboration with the Development and team and Faculty. This may utilize resources from various sources: interviews with college stakeholders (including alumni, faculty, students), other websites, digital and print media, in-person events, classes, informational materials, e-newsletters, and news releases. Write creative content (e.g., stories and captions), adhering to required branding guidelines and templates. Monitor social media channels and respond to users in coordination with the CA+P’s Assistant Director of Communications. Take pictures and cover activities on campus (e.g., final reviews, convocation) Create mini videos for social media channels. May perform other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled University of Utah student in the College of Architecture + Planning. The applicant must possess excellent writing, editing, and communication skills; familiarity with a variety of computer software and social media platforms; demonstrated ability to create graphics and videos; ability to work both individually and in a team setting; be responsible and pay attention to details.
