We are looking for a Technical Writer for our client, a well-known global tech client in Cupertino California.
Description
Our client is seeking an experienced technical writer for a 4-month contract to work in a cross-functional team on a hardware industry standard speciation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a public-facing document and collaborate with engineers and other technology companies. Responsibilities
• Edit and re-write existing standards documents for brevity and clarity
• Attend regular meetings with SMEs
• Initiate and conduct document reviews for accuracy and adherence to style guides
• Manage deliverables and deadlines
Qualifications
• BS/MS in engineering (electronics or CS) with at least 10 years of work experience
• Proficiency with English grammar and punctuation
• Strong writing skills
• Excellent communication skills for efficiently teamwork
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and self-driven
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and to manage workload efficiently
• Extensive experience with MSWord and applying Industry style guides
• Experience writing for public standards and regulatory bodies is a plus
• Design experience with hardware interfaces is a plus
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $78.00-$81.56 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
