As a Business Development Representative within BrandStar Local, you will be responsible for interviewing local businesses throughout the assigned territory area to find appropriate businesses to participate in television shows. These shows are regional versions of BrandStar's highly successful national TV shows. Show segments cover a variety of interesting topics and offer branding opportunities for local businesses. If chosen, the local business is featured in a show segment aired in their local area.

This opportunity offers base pay PLUS commission, quarterly and annual bonuses, hybrid work environment after completing training, and a full benefit portfolio including health, dental, life and 401k.

Commissions are uncapped!

Schedule: 9:00 am-5:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Regional Producers are Business Development Representatives that directly impact the content of television shows! Specific responsibilities include:

  • Contact and interview decision makers at local businesses to qualify potential show participants in target locations and industries.
  • Share approved content ideas for show segments with decision makers and gauge interest in participating.
  • Follow up with the local business and provide marketing collateral on specific shows.
  • Work directly with a Senior Producer to onboard new show participants.
  • Follow up on warm inquiries from marketing email campaigns.
  • Onboard show participants and secure funding.


Requirements for this Business Development role include:

  • Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with business owners, executives, and marketing professionals.
  • Possess energetic phone presence and ability to connect with others via phone.
  • Prior business-to-business sales experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in TV or radio ad sales a plus.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, internet research, and phone dialer system.
