Effingham Daily News is seeking a highly motivated individual to help local businesses thrive. This dynamic individual will build relationships with our clients to provide innovative and creative advertising strategies and solutions.

In the role of Account Executive, you will:

1. Be responsible for prospecting leads, making calls, and going on appointments to bring in new business, as well as growing existing accounts.
2. Conduct a needs analysis and use market knowledge to bring campaign ideas to the client using the Effingham Daily News’ broad range of products, including print newspaper, magazines, online, and mobile solutions.
3. Demonstrate the value of our medium, reach, and our products’ ability to drive results for our clients.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of outside sales experience.
• A college degree or equivalent experience in advertising, marketing, or mass communications is preferred.
• Ability to think both strategically and creatively.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical ability are essential.
• Knowledgeable of print and online media products.
• Strong skills in planning, communicating, organizing, and developing customer relationships.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory area; valid driver’s license, insurance requirements, and a good driving record are a must.
• A proven track record of successful cold calling, exceeding sales goals, and building lasting relationships is a plus.
