Protestant Music Director Job at Ladgov in Arlington

Position: Protestant Director of Music at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall

Responsibilities:

1. Perform as a Protestant Director of Music on a weekly basis, consisting of approximately 10-12 hours per week.
2. Facilitate the communal, public worship life to enhance the full and active participation of the assembly or congregation.
3. Plan, administer, and evaluate the quality of musical experiences in collaboration with the Religious Denomination Military Chaplain, Chaplain Staff, Religious Affairs Specialists, and the DA Civilian workforce.
4. Provide support for services where no Unit Ministry Team (UMT) members, RSO Department of the Army (DA) Civilians, and volunteers are available.

Qualifications:

1. Years of experience as a church musician or member of the church choir.
2. Deep knowledge of choral repertoire and Christian scripture.
3. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and experience in leading music ministry. Ability to lead music while playing an instrument (especially piano or guitar) is highly beneficial.
