OVERVIEW: We are looking for a senior level strategic thinker to join our beauty and wellness division. The ideal candidate should be deeply passionate about the beauty industry and eager to make a significant impact through their work. This individual is proactive, adept at taking initiative, and has experience either in an agency environment or in-house with a beauty brand. They should excel at pitching, with a proven track record of securing high-profile press placements. Strong industry connections and the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines consistent with the overall client strategies
2. Secure top press features with print, television, online, and podcast outlets
3. Develop and maintain relationships with influential members of the media to ensure placements
4. Write and edit media materials - press kits, press releases, media alerts, pitches, fact sheets, bios, case studies, and backgrounders
5. Develop PR-specific marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics for each client
6. Daily client interaction to update, report on, and discuss media relations
7. Track and report ROI for each campaign
8. Develop and maintain relationships with influential members of the media to ensure placements including managing paid influencer programs
9. Look for and secure speaking and sponsorship opportunities for clients as experts in their field
10. Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients
11. Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff; manage daily intern responsibilities

Requirements:

• B.S/B.A in Public Relations or related field
• At least 5 years of PR agency experience
• Creative and energetic personality
• Strong beauty and wellness background specifically public relations or influencer campaign management
• Organizational skills. Ability/experience overseeing managing several accounts at the same time while interacting with the team
• Problem-solving skills, good judgment in what to report and how to report it
• Writing skills, Proficient writing, editing and content strategy and development expertise, including experience crafting bylines, blog posts, media pitches, video scripts, newsletters, abstracts, executive bios, and briefing sheets
• Project management skills: Ability to work concurrently across multiple, diverse projects, skilled at prioritizing workload and deliverables to meet client and team deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure completion of assignments in an accurate and timely manner
• Passion for our work and commitment to independent, ongoing growth and development
• Assist with events including strategy, research, on-site execution, etc
