Our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) portfolio is a powerhouse collection of consumer-first brands, supported by media industry leaders, Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Sky. The Video Software Engineering team is looking for Engineering Managers to grow and develop our engineering talent and build inclusive, high-performing teams.
- Engineering Managers work closely and collaboratively with teams across Peacock technology to deliver high-quality streaming service.
- Drive technical initiatives in partnership with senior engineers across multiple teams, including testing, resiliency, and performance.
- Collaborate with all Playback Services teams (Live/Linear, VOD, Video Player, etc.) for Video KPIs on the Peacock application.
- Manage relationships between multiple internal teams.
- Own and create a data lake for end-to-end video delivery.
- Collaborate with teams building Peacock applications, ensuring optimal integration of the video players.
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with Engineering/Product/Project Management and Backend Technology Services teams to build highly scalable/reliable video infrastructure.
- Develop software solutions based on operations; collaborate and confer with colleagues, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Drive technical initiatives in partnership with senior engineers across teams.
- Grow the team by attracting diverse talent that can push technical boundaries.
- Support, coach, and develop high-performing engineers through regular 1:1s, continuous feedback, and relationships with others.
- Mentor individuals to embrace diversity and help build an inclusive and flexible workplace.
- Proactively suggest changes to the process to enhance efficiency as the team evolves.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Ability to integrate into a large agile development project and manage rapid development cycles.

- 2+ years of Engineering Management experience, prior software development experience at a senior level.

This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
Salary range: $130,000 - $190,000; bonus and long-term incentive eligible.
