About the Role

Spiegelworld is looking for an Audio On-Call to join the team at Atomic Saloon at the Venetian in Las Vegas. The Audio On-Call will work on maintenance, inspection, and operation of the audio equipment onsite according to company policies. This position reports to the Production Manager. This is an on-call role so the schedule will vary based on the team's needs. This is on on-call position that earns $35/hour.

Primary Job Duties

  • Assist in overseeing day to day operation of Audio equipment and console
  • Assist in Inspecting and Maintaining audio equipment to insure safe and consistent operation, including cleaning and routine maintenance
  • Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation of show cues, cue track, and the sound rig, as directed
  • Support special events, including installation of new audio show elements
  • Participate in all required safety and emergency rescue trainings, as directed
  • Performing mic checks and upkeep
  • Support maintaining com headsets
  • Handing off mics to performers when needed
  • Do carpentry cues during the show
  • Acting as the A1 sub when needed


What You Bring

  • Bachelors in Theatre, Sound Design preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years minimum experience with sound in a live theatre production show.
  • Dante and CTS certifications are a bonus.
  • Knowledge of networking, gain staging, basic electronics troubleshooting, and show control such as MIDI, LTC/MTC, or OSC.
  • Experience with programming and operating QLab, Dante audio networking, Yamaha digital consoles, RF coordination with Shure Wireless Workbench, and digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools, Reaper, Logic, or other DAWs.
  • Working knowledge of standard office software (word processing and spreadsheets);
  • OSHA 10 General Industry certificated completed in compliance with NV state law;
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all colleagues and guests.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company uniform and standards.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain flexibility in a dynamic show environment and demonstrate a willingness to support the team with changes.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • High level of mobility. Including going up and down stairs.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful background check clearance prior to hire
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
