Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Instructional Designer / Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective learning and training programs that support employee growth and development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and the ability to assess organizational training needs while delivering engaging and impactful training solutions. Additionally, this role may involve assisting with small group facilitation to enhance the learning experience.

Responsibilities
Instructional Design: Design and develop comprehensive learning programs, including instructor-led training (ILT), e-learning modules, blended learning solutions, and workshops tailored to the needs of the organization.
Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough training needs assessments by collaborating with key stakeholders and analyzing performance gaps to ensure training programs align with business objectives.
Curriculum Development: Create detailed course materials, training manuals, facilitator guides, assessments, and job aids that are clear, concise, and effective.
Learning Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and data analysis, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
Project Management: Manage multiple learning and development projects from concept to delivery, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts, department heads, and HR to identify specific learning objectives and customize content to address skills gaps.
Technology Utilization: Leverage the latest learning technologies (LMS, e-learning tools, multimedia, etc.) to enhance training delivery and engagement.
Train-the-Trainer Support: Provide support and guidance to internal trainers and managers, helping them develop their skills in delivering effective training sessions.
Small Group Facilitation: Assist with facilitating small group sessions or workshops as needed to support the application of training, encourage interaction, and provide hands-on guidance to learners.

Requirements

All potential hires are subject to pre-employment checks which include but are not limited to background checks, drug screenings, and motor vehicle record checks.
•Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, or a related field
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, learning and development, or a related field.
•Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE)
•Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, etc.).
•Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
•Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organizational training goals.
•Experience with facilitating small group training sessions or workshops is a plus.
•Certification in instructional design (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
•Experience with performance support tools and learning technologies.
•Familiarity with various delivery methods (e.g., live virtual classrooms, e-learning, hybrid).
•Experience with training and design for a new business system

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Additionally, handling sensitive and confidential information is part of the job. Standard office equipment such as laptops and smartphones are regularly utilized, and noise levels typically range from low to moderate.
