This reporter analyzes publicly available video, satellite imagery, social media networks, online databases, and other data in the performance of investigative journalism. These investigations involve issues ranging from police violence to urban land development, the environment, politics, and matters requiring special digital sleuthing and visual investigations. The reporter serves in a hybrid capacity as a staff journalist for the Institute and as a professor of practice leading the University of Memphis’ graduate program in open-source investigations. Salary and Benefits: $70,000-$75,000 Full University of Memphis healthcare benefits at no cost. 24 days of annual leave time per year and up to 12 days of sick time per year. Company-issued laptop is provided. This position will be: Hybrid (some days in the office per week) Moving Stipend: No moving stipend will be provided. |
