Overview
Nakupuna Federal is looking to hire a Communications Specialist to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)'s Transformation and Strategy Office (TSO). The project is focused on developing strategic performance measures and designing and implementing a performance dashboard.

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is skilled in project management, developing highly visible reports and briefings, graphic design, and data analysis and visualization. Specifically, the candidate is familiar with and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Education and Experience: This position requires a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience. This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Clearance: This position requires the ability to pass an IRS-mandated background check.
Work Location: Work is performed in a hybrid environment at the government site in Washington, D.C., and at the Nakupuna Office in Arlington, VA.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 to $114,000.00 (annualized USD). The good faith salary range displayed represents the position at time of posting and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.

- Deliver presentations and reports to executive leadership, communicating findings, recommendations, and progress updates effectively to internal teams and clients.
- Develop high-quality communications materials including but not limited to briefings, templates, memorandums, standard operating procedures, training materials, and reports.
- Gather information from subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Prepare and review presentations and provide strategic communications support, ensuring a consistent voice across all documentation.
- Support change management and training efforts through stakeholder management, facilitation, and consistent quality communications.
- Design aesthetically appealing graphics to support briefings for senior leadership, with the ability to interpret complex information into easily digestible visuals.
- Research, outline, write, and edit content, and ensure all strategy and communication documents, taskers, and projects are complete, timely, and error free, and all visual products contain accurate data and analytics.
- Lead and manage multi-faceted projects, while coordinating with team members, customers, and stakeholders to ensure plans, messaging, milestones, and materials are comprehensive and accurate.
- Independently draft and prepare written communications that adhere to IRS standards, style guides, and templates.
- Provide best practices and industry experience to advise and make recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications

Specifically, the candidate is familiar with and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner. Superb written communication skills and a keen eye for detail are required.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and facilitating client meetings to include senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter to create aesthetically pleasing presentations and/or digestible data visualizations geared towards executives.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Adobe, SharePoint, and Power BI.
- Experience with delivering high-quality client service and demonstrated professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, work under pressure, and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated bias for action and innovation.
