Summary

The Communication and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies across various channels, including digital and print media, to promote a company's brand, products, and services, while managing marketing campaigns and maintaining consistent messaging to engage target audiences; key duties include content creation, social media management, event coordination, and analyzing campaign performance to optimize results. The Communication and Marketing Coordinator will work with federal, state and county agencies and the broader MCC constituent and various target populations to benefit the mission of MCC.

  • Content Creation: Develop and manage content calendars for various platforms including website, social media, email newsletters, press releases, blog posts, and other marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and messaging alignment.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee social media accounts by creating engaging content, scheduling posts, monitoring interactions, responding to comments, and analyzing social media performance metrics.
  • Marketing Campaign Execution: Assist in the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital advertising, email marketing, and public relations initiatives.
  • Brand Management: Protect and promote the company's brand identity by ensuring consistency in messaging, visual design, and tone of voice across all communications.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, pitch story ideas, and manage press inquiries.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Organize and execute company events, conferences, webinars, and trade shows, including logistics, marketing materials, and on-site support.
  • Website Management: Update and maintain the company website with fresh content, ensuring accuracy and user-friendly navigation.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across marketing channels, analyze campaign data, and provide insights to inform future strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product development, and design to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
MARKETING
  • Maintaining and developing MCC's websites (https://www.mncare.org)
  • Assist with content and scheduling of social media posts
  • Media relations activities include writing press releases and media alerts, maintaining a digital news archive, and participating in strategic communication efforts
  • Event (virtual and in-person) support
  • Photography and videography (including editing and working with external vendors)
  • Research and estimates
BRAND MANAGEMENT AND GRAPHIC DESIGN
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of MCC's Worldwide brand guidelines
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of MCC's product-specific messaging and brand procedures including those for all clinics, all programs, MCC Foundations and all MCC projects and portfolios.
  • Designing and developing collateral materials for all Service Lines, Departments, Programs, Projects, Portfolios and MCC Foundation with brand fidelity using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
COMMUNICATION
  • MCC email communications support with content, design and layout
  • Develop, Design and Manage MCC Library eNewsletter content, design and layout
DIGITAL STRATEGY
  • Social media management support

  • Google AdWords nonprofit account support
  • Digital advertising support (e.g. - Pandora and Spotify ads for MCC)
  • Content management and video cataloging on MCC's YouTube channel

Work Environment

Primary environment is home office, administrative office, or clinical office. This role requires regular walking. This role may come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Travel Requirements

Must have the ability to travel between MCC sites in the St. Paul/Minneapolis metro area.

Required Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in marketing and communications roles
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Prior experience at a federally qualified health center or other health related institution.
  • Additional education in business administration and/or healthcare administration.
  • Proven ability to lead during a period of change and uncertainty.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Demonstrated success in working effectively with target population(s).
  • Change Agile; ability to operate in the gray and flex to new developments or situations.
  • Experience working in a multi-site environment is highly desired.
