Job Title: ASSISTANT SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Position Type: Part-Time
Location: Remote (Hybrid if applicable)
Job Summary:
Hi! My name is Bridgette Giakas, owner of BG Social. My agency is in its infancy and I am seeking to expand by bringing on a dedicated team member to take on various tasks and responsibilities revolving primarily around engagement, reporting and research. At the moment it is just me managing 16 different clients Facebook and Instagram accounts. The bulk of my client portfolio is hotels, so any experience or interest in the hospitality industry is a massive asset, though it is not a requirement. The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines. What makes the position unique is that as the newest member to what is currently a 1-person upstart agency, you will be taking on a pivotal role in which there is tremendous opportunity for growth and plenty of freedom to bring your own ideas and experiences to the table. You are encouraged to always express and share your thoughts and suggestions when it comes both to the role you will initially occupy as other areas of the agency.
The role is extremely hands-on and will initially include responsibilities such as:
- Engagement:
- One of your first big projects will be the building out, sorting and utilizing “accounts to engage” lists for each client. This list will be a valuable tool to help guide and inform your engagement strategy.
- Consistently engaging with content and other social media accounts from each client's Facebook Instagram accounts through following relevant accounts, liking, commenting, and sharing specific content.
- Sharing at 3-4 stories a week for each client
- Compiling lists of potential UGC Media sources and collaborators
- Reporting:
- Create monthly client reports in Canva using the Meta Business Suite performance insights from each client. This will need to be where the ability to meet deadlines most heavily comes into play.
- Research:
- Building out lists and calendars of upcoming events, holidays and potential #hashtags for each client.
- Research trending and high performing #hashtags
- Compiling outreach lists of influencers and content creators to potentially reach out to for collaboration on behalf of the client.
Role Requirements:
- You will need to be comfortable with juggling around a dozen different social media accounts.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time constructively
- Some previous experience or education in social media management, marketing, or digital marketing.
- Virtual meeting once per week
- Ability to navigate Monday.com CRM (training will be provided for those without experience)
