THIS POSITION IS IN TAHLEQUAH OKLAHOMA

PositionSummary:

TheMedical Library Manager provides leadership and management of the OklahomaState University College of Osteopathic Medicine-Cherokee Nation (OSUCOM-CN)Medical Library as the primary provider of biomedical information services forthe OSUCOM-CN campus. This position plans, develops, and evaluates libraryresources, services, and CN campus library staff. As needed, this positionproctors library testing center exams and provides coverage for the circulationdesk.

To fulfill the goals and mission of the Medical Library, this position performsadditional duties as assigned.

Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp,feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Qualifications:
- Master'sdegree in Library Science accredited by American Library Association orrelated education
- Three (3) or more years librarian experience.
- Valid Driver's License

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
-Abilityto supervise and lead an academic medical library branch
-Knowledge of medical library leadership best practices
-Ability to provide medical library reference and instruction
-Ability to develop and document library database searches
-Ability to develop and document technical instructions
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in amulti-site environment

PreferredExperience:
-Medical or academic librarianship with somesupervisory responsibilities.
