Position Function/Nature of Work:

Under the guidance and direction of the City Manager, this position serves as a key member of the City's team with direct responsibility for coordination of strategic messaging. Develops and implements a variety of public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image of the City. Plans and directs the development of communication of information to keep the public informed of the City's programs, accomplishments, and point of view. Development and oversight of marketing of the City events and programs to include public relations, promotional and advertising collateral, and developing and maintaining essential partnerships with the general public, groups, and vendors. Responsible for the development and implementation of uniform and consistent use and display of City and City events and programs brand(s).
