POSITION OVERVIEW

As Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing content for social media that aligns with marketing campaigns and projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Social Content Producer, Creative Studio team, Brand Marketing team, Social Media team and other cross-functional teams to bring marketing initiatives to life. The ideal candidate will demonstrate thought leadership in conceptualizing and capturing social-first assets from end-to-end, including production coordination, filming, color grading and footage processing, and dynamic editing that will aid in driving impactful social marketing campaigns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and collaborate on strategies for attracting new followers and engaging existing followers through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and LinkedIn.
  • Produce social-first content and creative that aligns with brand guidelines and company positioning
  • Coordinate with the Brand Marketing and Social Media teams to ensure that social content is produced for all relevant social media platforms in support of overarching marketing plans.
  • Research, identify, and stay ahead of relevant content ideas based on current events, trends, and topics that align with the brand’s mission, target audience, and core values.
  • Collaborate with the Social Content Producer to create shot lists, storyboards, and mood boards for social content and production.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including designers, copywriters, and digital marketers, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Produce content in a rapid cadence based on established content calendars for social channels, inclusive of relevant events, openings, announcements, and tentpole dates.
  • Capture premium visual content using professional mirrorless and cinema cameras (Sony A Series and FX Series), with attention to shot composition and framing, high-quality audio capture, and optimal lighting for various events and productions.
  • Process, organize, and color grade LOG video footage and RAW photography using Adobe Creative Cloud editing programs (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
  • Edit engaging social media photo and video content with dynamic transitions, creative effects, and thoughtful sound design utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Capture and edit real-time photography and videography content and live coverage for events in a quick turnaround, as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in design, fine arts, marketing, or a related field or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience as a social media content creator, video content editor or producer in the hospitality industry or a similar field.
  • Strong background in camera operation and confidence handling professional lighting and audio equipment.
  • Exemplary video editing portfolio of dynamic social-first content, demonstrating expertise in storytelling, shot composition, color grading, and sound design.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing principles, strategies, and tactics across various channels, including digital, social media, and events.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • This position may require atypical hours, including night or weekend event coverage.
