ILLINOIS PRESS ASSOCIATION is hiring: Editor-Reporter in Springfield

We are a morning newspaper located in Southern Illinois in search of an experienced hands-on editor-reporter who can lead our newsroom into new directions with reporting in a changing world.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the newsroom and guide staff in responding to breaking local news.
2. Oversee photography, writing, directing, and reporting efforts.
3. Build a culture of excellence and responsiveness in news reporting.

Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of experience in the newspaper industry.
2. Proven knowledge in photography, writing, directing, and reporting.
3. Ability to lead by example.
