ILLINOIS PRESS ASSOCIATION is hiring: Graphic Designer + in Springfield

Seeking a creative person who will use graphic design to improve service to our readers and advertisers. Part-time position for someone looking for a fun side-hustle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create advertising messages and ads that support customer objectives
2. Work closely with the Advertising Rep to develop “pitches”
3. Assist in the development, design and layout of print and digital products
4. Paginate the print product
5. Manage updates to the website, social media and other digital products
6. Support execution and launch of new company products
7. Maintain a critical and creative eye on all products
8. Advance our brand marketing efforts across print, digital and social properties

Knowledge & Skills

1. High degree of creativity and an interest in creating and pushing new ideas
2. Desire to work in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment
3. Team player with a sense of humor and looking to have fun!

Requirements

1. Live in Woodstock or have strong ties to the area
2. Extensive knowledge of WordPress and InDesign
3. Experience in all major social media platforms and digital marketing
