Music Minister Job at Reformed Theological Seminary in Belton

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION: The Music Minister shall be responsible to the church under the immediate supervision of the Senior Pastor for the comprehensive music ministry of the church.

I. MUSIC MINISTRY

1. Direct the planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating of a comprehensive music program.
2. Supervise all volunteer and employed workers in the music areas.
3. Equip and empower staff and volunteers for music ministries throughout the church.
4. Select and order choral and instrumental music for all choirs.
5. Facilitate the upkeep of the church music library, materials, and supplies.
6. Supervise the use and care of all instruments and church audio-visual equipment.

II. WORSHIP

1. Assist the Pastor in planning all worship services.
2. Select music for worship.
3. Coordinate and support all rehearsals and practices for worship events.

III. AUDIO VISUAL

1. Prepare slides and A/V equipment for worship services.
2. Schedule A/V team for worship services.
3. Keep equipment up to date and train A/V team on anything new.

IV. PASTORAL CARE

1. Assist in home, hospital, and skilled care facility visits.
2. Assist in funerals and memorial services.
3. Support and facilitate Senior Adult activities and ministry opportunities.

V. ADMINISTRATION

1. Coordinate the music ministry with the church calendar.
2. Lead music ministries to support the church mission statement.
3. Serve as an ex-officio member of the music ministry team, A/V team, Senior Adult team, and wedding team.

VI. CHURCH/STAFF RELATIONS

1. Support the Pastor as staff-team leader.
2. Cooperate as a member of the staff-team effort.
3. Promote harmony among church membership.
4. Be a positive influence in the community.
5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
