Director of Music Ministries Job at Reformed Theological Seminary in Lake Wales

Church Music Ministries include the following:

1. Worship Services
   
   • Assist the pastoral staff in planning worship.
   • Select and coordinate choral, vocal, and instrumental music for all services.
   • Lead, teach and train the church in congregational singing.
   • Weddings/Funerals
2. Music Ensembles
   
   • Direct, recruit, train and manage the choirs and accompanists/instrumentalists.
   • Oversee and/or direct all church choirs, instrumental ensembles which currently consists of:
     
     • Musical Beginnings: ages 0-3
     • Covenant Kids: ages 4-6
     • King’s Singers: ages 7-14
     • Middle School/High School
     • Adult Choir
     • Handbell Choir
     • Brass Ensemble
     • Additional Musicians (as needed)
     • Concerts (when scheduled)
3. Miscellaneous Responsibilities
   
   • Maintenance of pianos, organ and handbells.
   • Maintain music library (both on Excel and filing) including purchase and maintenance of music.
   • Lead the Music Committee in planning music for the church and the budget.
   • Nurture, direct and manage all music ministry staff and lay leaders.
   • Be responsible for organ, piano, instrumental music for all worship services.
   • Maintain CCLI licenses and reporting when required.
   • Participate in Summer programs.

Position Qualifications:

Desired Requirements:

1. College Degree (minimum Bachelor of Music. Master’s preferred)
2. Experience leading with music and choirs in worship and other church related music experiences.
3. A strong desire to serve God in the church setting with music being the prominent gift.
