Duties of the job: The role involves the following responsibilities:

1. Meet clients to identify their needs and liaise regularly with them.
2. Draw up detailed website specifications and present initial design ideas to clients.
3. Design graphics, animations, and manipulate digital photographs.
4. Register web domain names and organize the hosting of the website.
5. Carry out coding using a variety of software.
6. Work with different content management systems.
7. Search engine optimization (SEO).
8. Meet relevant legal requirements such as accessibility standards, freedom of information, and privacy.
9. Proofread content and make changes where necessary.
10. Edit content, debug code, and redesign web pages.
11. Work with other web specialists, including web developers and graphic designers.
12. Liaise with outside agencies.
13. Test the website to ensure it's working.
14. Hand the completed website over to the client.
15. Provide post-sales technical support.
16. Train the clients' staff.
17. Undertake continuing professional development (CPD) activities to keep up to date with new software.

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

The successful candidate will have relevant skills and experience required for the post together with the following:

1. Degree in Computer Science or degree relevant to IT.
2. Proficient in Visual Design Principles like Emergence, Reification, Invariance.
3. Implementation knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).
4. Tools (Visual Studio, IntelliJ, Eclipse).
5. Basic graphic design.
6. Databases.
7. Working with Hosting (Publishing website).
