Meet the team:

We are a multi-disciplinary team of user experience designers, visual designers, instructional designers, industrial designers, user researchers, and software developers. We collaborate closely with each other, engineering, and product management to create highly usable, beautiful products that make a true impact to millions of people around the globe.

At Dexcom, you will help us build products to improve lives with our innovative next generation Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) system. We are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We build delightful and accessible products that display data and insights across multiple platforms. You will follow the principles of user-centric design thinking to make data meaningful and actionable for our users.

Where you come in:

  1. You collaborate with designers, stakeholders, and partners to develop design concepts and solutions.
  2. You advocate for users, representing the voice of patients, healthcare providers, and supporters.
  3. You present design proposals confidently to inform and influence the audience.
  4. You mentor colleagues and learn from team members.
  5. You socialize ideas with stakeholders to gain alignment and find mutually agreeable solutions.
  6. You positively influence culture, welcome feedback, and respect disagreements.
  7. You manage and refine the UX design process from ideation to implementation.
  8. You utilize user-centric design thinking to prioritize and solve problems.
  9. You lead early-stage product definition activities and support research efforts.
  10. You ensure designs are implemented as intended across various platforms through collaboration with development engineers.

What makes you successful:

  1. Demonstrate exceptional UX design skills and process in your portfolio (include link or PDF).
  2. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, breaking down designs into Epics and Stories.
  3. Experience designing for mobile apps using Material Design or iOS HIG.
  4. Detail flows and information architecture of products.
  5. Experience with Design Systems, wearables, and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
  6. Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  7. Manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  8. Proactive and accountable approach, showing ownership and leadership in product design.
  9. Expertise in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Abstract, Adobe Creative Suite).
  10. Prior experience as a Senior or Lead UX Designer on multiple products.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of related industry experience.

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
