The Videographer serves as a full-time shooter/editor for the Office of Undergraduate Admission. The Videographer is responsible for filming and editing original video content for our social media platforms and website. They must be proficient with shooting and lighting techniques as well as producing quality sound. Additionally, they must be an expert editor with some motion graphics experience. The Videographer will shoot footage, edit and accomplish all technical tasks related to production and post-production. They will transport, set up, and operate equipment; assist with staging and set preparation. The Videographer will work closely with the Senior Associate Director to execute the concept through to completion. They must be abreast of industry and social media trends and have the ability to create video messaging that appeals to both prospective students and their families. Additionally, they must have the ability to elicit the best performance from subjects during filming. The Videographer is responsible for all video content produced by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Work with the Senior Associate Director and the creative team to create, shoot, and edit videos for social media platforms and the website.
- Edit footage down to short form videos.
- Tell stories viewers feel personally connected to and inspired by.
- Basic audio editing, music selection, and sound effects.
- Color correction as needed.
- Basic motion-graphics creation.
Required Education and/or Experience
- Experience with filming and editing.
Compensation Information
