Summary
The Facilities and Audio Visual Coordinator has primary responsibility for assisting with facility operations and technology management for the LBC and Commons complex. This position assists with daily oversight of facilities including building opening procedures, regular walkthroughs, management of repairs and facilities-based projects, and assistance with facilities systems. The Facilities and Audio Visual Coordinator also assists with audiovisual technology for meeting and event spaces. This includes management of software updates, equipment repair or replacement, troubleshooting audiovisual issues, audiovisual training for student employees, and identifying trends in technology to enhance meeting and event experiences. This position is part of a two-person facilities and technology coordinator team that manages facility and technology needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience related to facility operations and management.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- General understanding of audio-visual equipment.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends and be on call after hours as needed.
- Ability to assist with moving furniture and equipment for setups as needed.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Required Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year of related facilities operations and/or audio-visual experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse client base.
- Skilled knowledge of operating and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment.
- Knowledge, training, and experience in event operations.
Compensation Information
