Graphic Design Position
The Graphic Design position is responsible for creating and modifying designs for items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, pens, and mugs. The artist must coordinate with the art department and sales team to meet quick turnaround requirements. The artist must also stay current on design trends to provide creative design ideas to clients. Candidates should be energetic, proactive, creative, detail-oriented, and able to work well with directions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and edit design layouts for apparel and promotional products
- Prepare and size files for production
- Create promotional order forms
- Design banners, flyers, and product brochures
- Work well within a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Creative skills in layout, typography, composition, and color
- Strong attention to detail
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
- Must be proficient at verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers
- Must be proficient with basic computer operation and knowledgeable about position-specific software programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook in particular)
- Proficient with vector-based design in CorelDraw and/or Adobe Illustrator
- Portfolio of design work and/or a personal website
