Agility Partners is seeking a qualified UX/UI Designer to fill an open position with an independent, not-for-profit, member-based organization focused on managing the flow of high-voltage electricity across its region, facilitating one of the world's largest energy markets, and planning the grid of the future. This exciting role involves collaborating with business partners, strategists, and software engineers to tackle significant business challenges through innovative prototypes and designs. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create insight-based prototypes and designs.
  • Conduct user research and translate insights into meaningful design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive style guides and ensure consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Work within Agile teams, contributing to the redesign of applications and championing user experience.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in UX/UI design or related field.
  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, interaction design, product design, communication design, design thinking, or a related design field.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Invision.
  • Experience designing for digital accessibility following WCAG standards.
  • Strong understanding of design thinking and user-centered practices.
  • Experience working alongside software developers and understanding of the software development process.
  • Ability to quickly bring ideas to life through various means, from hand-drawn storyboards to functioning digital prototypes.
  • Solid experience in Agile environments and Scrum Teams.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX design skills and understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Ability to leverage analytics data to discover customer struggles and drive UX problem resolution.
  • Exceptional visual design skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle time effectively.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and be open to feedback and iterative design processes.
  • Preferred: Experience with Angular, declarative design, and development experience on an Agile team.
