Contract Duration: 03+ Months Contract with extension

Max pay rate: $35/hr

Hours: 15-25 per week, 1-2 days onsite a week. Candidate will work with manager on schedule.

Role Overview:

The Copy and Production Editor will report to the editor and will be responsible for:

1. Copyediting the entire print magazine, including substantive content editing, fact-checking, and editing for correct grammar, diction, and stylistic consistency.
2. Managing print production by forwarding final pages to the outside proofreader, collating corrections from editors’ reviews, and preparing final files for printing.
3. Reviewing and proofing the online editorial content for style and content before it is posted.
4. Supervising and assisting contributing editors in producing copy and layouts for class notes and obituaries, verifying degree statuses, and coordinating layouts.
